Research and Publication Support Unit
AResearch and Publication Support Unit, which provides statistical expertise and translation services, was established at Faculty of Medicine in August 2013.
AThe main purpose of the unit is to provide statistical evaluation support for national and international academic studies of researchers (academicians, medical doctors and graduate students) within the Faculty of Medicine and to control and edit their articles translated into foreign languages.
Services
- To provide statistical advice on sampling design, questionnaire design, data collection techniques and experimental design at the planning phase of research process,
- To provide consultancy services on statistical analyses,
- To provide advice on the creation and interpretation of tables and graphs,
- To support the writing of scientific articles in international standards (IMRAD, CONSORT, APA Style, ASA Style),
- To provide translation support at the publication phase of the study.
Academic Staff
Statistical consulting is provided by Prof. Dr. Canan Baydemir and Assist. Prof. Dr. Sibel Balcı from the Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics.
The control and language editing of the studies translated into foreign languages is provided by Prof. Dr. Gür Akansel from the Department of Radiology.
